Philippe Debaeke

Philippe Debaeke is a senior scientist (research director) at INRAE (French National Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment). As an agronomist and crop scientist, he is a member of the UMR AGIR research group in Toulouse (SW France). His research program focuses on modelling the genotype (G) x environment (E) x crop management (M) interactions with dynamic crop models in order to adapt crop production to climate change and low-input systems. Oil-protein crops as sunflower and soybean are the two main crops under study. He closely associates experimentation (field and controlled conditions) and modelling activities for phenotyping soybean varieties and assessing their performance from field to regional levels. He is currently serving as co-editor of two scientific journals (ASD, OCL).
